Who this path is for
Customers Seeking Service are everyday people who need help—home repairs, professional
services, health-related providers, legal or financial guidance, and many other local
specialties. On the platform, you create a customer account, describe what you need,
and let FindaService.ai guide the intake, estimate a fair local price range, and prepare
your request for our provider network.
1. Start from the home page
From the FindaService.ai home page, choose Get Started. That takes you
into the customer area at /customer. If you are not signed in yet, you will
be guided to create an account or sign in before you can manage service requests.
2. Create your customer account
On customer sign-up, you provide your first name, last name, email address, a phone number
that can receive SMS, and a password (at least 8 characters, confirmed twice). A reCAPTCHA
check helps protect the site from automated abuse.
When you submit the form, FindaService.ai creates your account in a
pending state. You cannot use the customer dashboard until both your email
and phone number are verified. That protects both you and providers from fake or mistyped accounts.
3. Verify your email and phone
Immediately after sign-up, the platform emails a secure verification link to the address
you entered. The link is unique to your account and expires after 24 hours.
- Open the message titled like “Verify your FindaService.ai email.”
- Click the verification link (or paste it into your browser).
- Enter the one-time SMS code sent via Twilio Verify to activate your account.
If the email or SMS does not arrive, sign in with your email and password. When the account is
still unverified, the login screen explains the problem and offers
Resend verification email or Verify phone number. Use that
without creating a second account.
4. Sign in
After email and phone verification, sign in at the customer login page with your email, password, and
reCAPTCHA. Successful login opens your customer dashboard, where all of your active
service requests live.
You can also enable Face ID / passkey sign-in (see below). Password login
remains available as a backup.
5. Your Service Requests dashboard
The customer home page lists every active service request you have created. For each
request you can see:
- Title — a short name for the job or need.
- Provider — the matched provider type and specialty (for example,
a provider category paired with a more specific specialty).
- Estimate — a low-to-high dollar range based on local averages for
your ZIP code.
- Status — where the request stands in the process (for example,
estimated after a completed AI intake).
- Created — when the request was saved.
On smaller screens, key fields stay visible in the table while fuller detail is available
from a Details view. From Details (or the desktop actions), you can remove
a request you no longer need.
Choosing Create Service Request starts the guided AI intake described next.
6. Create a service request with AI
Creating a request opens a conversational intake powered by FindaService.ai. You begin by
describing what you need in plain language. Including your ZIP code early helps the system
price and localize the match, but if you omit it, the assistant will ask.
Your in-progress conversation is kept as a draft while you work, so refreshing the page
does not wipe the session mid-intake. Nothing is published to the provider network until
you explicitly save.
7. How the AI probing conversation works
After your first message, the assistant enters a probing phase. It asks
focused follow-up questions so the eventual match and estimate are grounded in real
details—not vague guesswork. Depending on your need, that can include:
- Scope and size of the work (what exactly needs to be done).
- Urgency and preferred timing.
- Access constraints (stairs, locked areas, pets, occupied space, and similar).
- Materials, existing equipment, or whether you already have parts/supplies.
- Companion or bundled services that often go with the main job—for example, cleanup
after lawn work, repair versus replace for plumbing, or consultation format for
professional services.
The assistant is designed to keep questions practical and sequential. If a question is
unclear, use Further explanation on that message. The platform will
restate the last question in simpler terms without advancing the intake or changing what
it already knows.
8. Matching to a provider type and specialty
While you talk, FindaService.ai compares your needs against a curated catalog of provider
categories, provider types, and specialties. The goal is to identify the right
kind of qualified professional—not invent a fictional company name, and not
reveal a specific business identity during intake.
Once a provider type is identified, related specialties and companion services are used
to refine the conversation. That helps the estimate reflect the full job rather than only
the first phrase you typed.
9. Local estimate range
When the assistant has enough information—including your ZIP code—it produces a
complete estimate. You will see:
- Matched provider type and specialty.
- Your ZIP code.
- A dollar range (low to high) based on typical local averages for that area.
- A short scope summary of what was understood.
- An explanation of how the estimate was formed and what assumptions it includes.
Estimates are planning ranges, not binding invoices. Actual quotes from a provider may
vary once they inspect the job, confirm materials, or adjust for site conditions.
If you want a deeper walkthrough of why that range and match were chosen, use
Provide more detail on the estimate panel. The platform expands the
reasoning without forcing you to restart the conversation.
10. Save your request (or quit)
When the estimate is ready, Save service request opens a confirmation
that explains what happens next: your request is shared with FindaService.ai’s network of
qualified service providers, and you should expect to be contacted within about
48 to 72 hours. Confirming writes the request to your dashboard and
clears the draft session.
Saved information typically includes your title and description, the full conversation
transcript, matched provider taxonomy, ZIP code, estimate range and explanation, scope
summary, and status.
If you change your mind mid-flow, choose Quit. You will be asked to
confirm that you want to discard progress. Quitting does not create a dashboard entry and
returns you to your Service Requests list.
11. Manage or remove past requests
From the dashboard, open Details on any request to review title, provider match, estimate,
status, ZIP, and created time. If you no longer want a request listed, delete it. Deletion
is a soft remove: the request is marked inactive and disappears from your active list
rather than being treated as a current open job.
12. Face ID / passkey login
From the customer menu, open Face ID login to register a passkey on a
supported device (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key, depending on your
hardware and browser). After setup, the login page can offer
Sign in with Face ID once you enter the email address for that account.
You can list and remove passkeys later from the same settings page. Removing a passkey
does not delete your account; password login still works.
13. Temporary AI interruptions
Occasionally, site administrators may temporarily pause AI-powered features for
maintenance or operational reasons. When that happens, customer pages show a clear
Service Interruption notice, and the conversational intake cannot continue until AI is
re-enabled. Your existing saved requests remain on the dashboard.

Who this path is for
Service Providers are businesses and professionals who deliver local services—trades,
healthcare-related practices, legal and financial specialists, and many other provider
types in the FindaService.ai catalog. On the platform, you create a business account so
you can join the provider side of the network that customers use when they save a
service request.
1. Enter through Service Provider Login
From the home page, choose Service Provider Login (or go directly to
/business). This opens the business area, separate from the customer path.
Customer and business accounts are different roles: signing up as a customer does not
automatically make you a service provider, and vice versa.
2. Create your business account
Business sign-up collects first name, last name, email, an SMS-capable phone number, and
a password (at least 8 characters, confirmed twice), plus reCAPTCHA. The phone number
matters because providers may need to receive time-sensitive contact related to matched
work.
As with customers, new business accounts start inactive until email and
phone verification both succeed. That keeps the provider side of the platform tied to real,
reachable contacts.
3. Verify your business email and phone
After registration, FindaService.ai sends a verification message with a unique link that
expires in 24 hours. Completing that link, then entering the SMS code from Twilio Verify,
activates the business account and unlocks sign-in to the provider area.
If you try to sign in before verifying, access is blocked and you can
Resend verification email or Verify phone number from the
login flow. Use the same email you registered with—creating duplicate accounts is not
necessary and is prevented when that email already exists.
4. Sign in to the business area
Once verified, sign in with email, password, and reCAPTCHA. Successful authentication
opens your business home. From there you can manage Face ID / passkeys and sign out
securely.
Optional Sign in with Face ID works the same way as on the customer
side: register a passkey under Face ID settings, then use it on future logins after
entering your business email.
5. Your role in the matching network
When a customer completes the AI intake and saves a service request, FindaService.ai
has already:
- Clarified the job through probing questions and companion-service checks.
- Matched the need to a provider type and specialty from the platform catalog.
- Produced a ZIP-based local estimate range the customer can understand before
committing the request.
Saving tells the customer that the request will be shared with the network of qualified
service providers, with expected contact in about 48 to 72 hours. From
the provider standpoint, that is the moment a customer need becomes an actionable lead
for the right kind of business—scoped, localized, and priced at a planning level—rather
than an unstructured “help wanted” message.
6. Why catalog matching matters for providers
The platform does not invent provider identities during customer intake. Instead it maps
each request to structured categories, provider types, and specialties. That keeps matching
consistent and reduces wasted outreach: a lawn-care specialty request should not be
treated the same as a specialty legal consultation, even if both customers typed a short
vague sentence at the start.
Companion-service probing also helps providers receive requests that reflect the real
job—cleanup, access issues, repair-versus-replace decisions, and similar details that
change labor and materials.
7. Estimates customers see (and what they mean for you)
Customers receive a low-to-high estimate based on typical averages for their ZIP code and
the matched specialty. That range sets expectations before you are contacted. It is not a
contract on your behalf. When you engage a lead, you still confirm scope on site or by
consultation and provide your own firm quote as appropriate.
Because customers can ask the platform for further explanation and estimate detail, many
arrive already understanding the assumptions behind the range. That can shorten the first
conversation and reduce mismatches on budget or scope.
8. Business home and account tools
After login, your business home confirms you are signed in on the provider side of
FindaService.ai. From the business menu you can:
- Open Face ID login settings to add or remove passkeys.
- Sign out to end the session on a shared or personal device.
Keep your email and SMS-capable phone current so verification and future outreach related
to matched customer work can reach you promptly.
9. Face ID / passkey security for providers
Provider accounts can register device biometrics or security keys for faster, phishing-
resistant sign-in. Setup lives under the business Face ID page. You may store more than
one passkey (for example, a phone and a laptop) and remove any credential you no longer
trust. Password login remains available if a device is lost or replaced.
10. Service interruptions and platform operations
If administrators temporarily disable AI features site-wide, business HTML pages also show
the Service Interruption banner. That primarily affects customer intake (which depends on
AI), and therefore can pause the creation of new matched requests until service resumes.
Existing accounts and sign-in continue to follow the normal auth rules.
11. How the two sides fit together
Customers Seeking Service describe a need; FindaService.ai structures that need, estimates
it locally, and shares the saved request with the provider network. Service Providers join
through the business area so they are part of that network—ready to be contacted about
work that already has clarified scope, specialty fit, ZIP context, and a planning-level
price range.
In short: customers get clarity before they ask for help; providers get better-qualified
opportunities instead of cold, incomplete inquiries.
